Chateau de Mores Historic Site The Marquis de Mores, a French aristocrat, built a meat packing plant just outside of the cowtown of Medora in
1883. He also built a 26 room chateau to house himself and his family. The original chateau has been well preserved and is now a state historic site.

Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site Located 25 miles southwest of Williston, ND, the Fort Union Trading Post was built near the junctions of the Missouri and Yellowstone rivers.
